The Bengal's Tornado Origin |
![]() |
In September of 2005, Rivas scored 4 tickets to the Bears vs Bengals game in Chicago at Soldier Field. Rivas is a life-long Bears fan but since moving to Cincinnati has taken on the Bengals as the next best thing. Jon Fossitt and Ben Rottinghaus decided to take the trip to the windy-city, watch the game, and cheer on the Bengals. After a night of drinking heavily, the boys headed to tailgate on the lake. The weather for the most part of the morning was windy and it was drizzling off and on. The weather (and the hangovers) in no way slowed down the consumption of liquor though (especially when the tailgate bartender showed up). Once in the stadium, the weather got worse. The rain was starting to come down hard off and on, and the sky kept getting darker and darker. Someone asked "What the forecast was for Sunday?". Without hesitation, Jon Fossitt vehemently answered "A Bengals Tornado!" |

Since that day, shirts have been made with this slogan, license plates have the slogan, and tailgating flags bears the slogan. We are always looking for more people to enjoy the Tornado party on Sundays. So, make sure to check your forecast for Sunday... a Bengals Tornado might be headed your way!!!!!
